What is our after sales service?

If you are having any issues with our products, we are here to help.

For general questions about your gates, or if you just need a refresher, let us know via our contacts form at any time. After which we will contact you within 24Hrs/Monday to Friday to put your mind at rest. If you prefer to call, you can do so during normal business hours of:

8am-5pm/Monday to Friday

If you are experiencing any issues, we will do our very best to get you up and running in no time. Please let us know the nature of the problem via the above contact methods and, in most cases, these can be fixed over the phone. If this is not the case we will arrange a time to make a visit to your property, access the issue further and go through with you the next steps.

Unlike commercial electric gates, it is not a legal requirement to have your gates serviced. However, to ensure a continuous and safe operation we recommend our annual maintenance service. This service includes, but is not exclusive to, a full inspection, service and cleaning in accordance to the manufacturer’s warranty requirements.

Motors have a 3 Year warranty, automation electronics have a 2 Year warranty.

How long will this all take?

Wether you choose Wooden or Aluminium gates, due to the bespoke nature of the products, the time from ordering to completing installation is approximately 12 weeks.

PLEASE NOTE: Orders will not be processed before receiving the required deposit.

Normally installation comprises of two stages.

Stage 1 – If required, the gates posts will be installed and measurements will be taken for your gates. At this point any other preparation work that can be carried out, such as ducting and motor boxes for an automated install, will be performed. This is generally completed within in a day.

Stage 2 – Your gates will be delivered to us at your home and the rest of the installation will be completed. This is generally completed within 1-3 days, depending on the number of products you have purchased.

Before we leave we will go through the operation of your gates and will happily answer any questions you have throughout.

What are your payment terms?

For all purchases, we require a deposit of 50% of the total amount due. It is important to note orders will not be processed before receiving the required deposit.

Further to the deposit, a payment of 25% of the total amount due will be required 14 days before stage 2 of the installation begins and the final 25% will be required upon completion.

Do your automated gates have battery backup?

We do offer battery backup for your automated gates as an optional extra. This will allow your gates to operate normally without mains power for a minimum of 5 cycles, meaning 5 full opening and closing of the gates. We recommend that these batteries are tested each time your gates are serviced. To ensure a continuous and safe operation we recommend our annual maintenance service. This service includes but is not exclusive to a full inspection, service and cleaning in accordance to the manufacturer’s warranty requirements.

If you did not choose to include a battery backup with your purchase you can still use your gates in a manual capacity until mains power is restored via the manual release lock.

I have heard friends say they had to replace their motors, is this normal?

We choose motors that always include some extra power when it comes to moving the weight of your gates. Problems can occur if the motor is “only just” capable of the job and this is where some additional power ensures a long and happy enjoyment of your products life.

Do you have any samples I can see before I buy?

We aim to provide images on our website that accurately represent the final look of our products, however, different lighting conditions don’t always make this easy. For this reason we will provide samples of the final finishes available so you can see them in the flesh before you commit.

But what about cost?

Due to the custom nature of our products and services it isn’t always possible to give exact figures. We have found that for an average installations requirements, a manual gate installation is around £4,500 to £6,500 including VAT and a gate installation with automation is between £8000 and £12,000 including VAT.
